Today, in the United States, we pause for a moment of thankfulness. My point in this blog is to recognize life’s curiosity, presence, and love. These three elements naturally lend themselves to a natural, daily thankfulness. In life, I would say it is impossible to be curious about its wonders, to be fully present in its moments, and to love its aspects without being thoroughly grateful. But today, I want to highlight some of the things that have brought immense meaning to my life.
First and foremost, I am thankful for my wife. I got married this summer to a perfect partner. I got married to my most genuine friend. She supports me throughout all my emotions, ups, downs, and even in all my wildest, craziest goals. My wife loves me. My wife cares for me. My wife supports me.
I’m thankful for my children. They motivate me to be creative. When I’m with them, it makes me want to be a better person. When I think about them, it makes me want to be motivational and supportive. They help give my life direction.
I’m thankful for the opportunities. Some of these are obvious, and some of them are more hidden. Sometimes I grab for them and miss, and sometimes they hit me in the face. Life is like a game with surprising turns and often beautiful results.
I haven’t been perfect, but in my imperfections, my life is perfect. My day surrounds me with joy and love. I appreciate what the future holds. I bow in gratitude to what the past has done.
And thank you to everyone reading this. I am thankful for you. You are loved.
